The teach-in creates a space to share the tools and resources necessary to develop curriculum,beats by dre news, programs, artistic and scholarly work based in hip-hop culture. This inaugural Midwest convening is an exciting four-day gathering with opportunities to further reinforce your work as an individual artist, scholar, collective or organization. ALL ARE WELCOME! Come join us at Remixing the Art of Social Change, where the artists, scholars and educators are actively working to promote hip hop culture: peace, love, unity, and having fun!

Chicago’s Inaugural Hip Hop Teach-In: “REMIXING THE ART OF SOCIAL CHANGE? is not your average conference or gathering. It?s an ALL CITY teach-in where artists, scholars, youth and organizations from across Chicago and throughout the Midwest come together to be part of a unique experience that’s both action-oriented and community-based. The teach-in will feature films, concerts, panel discussions and workshops. A special focus will be on presenting Midwest’s finest as well as international hip-hop artists!
